I just come back from the Hadrian Wall and that was just wonderful! I had three days of great weather, sunny or overcast skies with no rain, and dry path in the amazing English wilderness. I stayed in great accommodations thanks to your perfect organisation, and the whole thing has been terrific! Having my bag carried by car made a difference, I just enjoyed every second of the walk with no extra weariness. I’ve been accompanied during an early morning walk towards Housesteads by two great sheepdogs who joyfully kept me on the track for two hours like I’d be a sheep. Lovely moments of complete peace, alone at 7am in the morning sunshine at the highest point of the walk, with those two dogs keeping a keen eye on me. This walk was just the first one I did with you; I’m booking my next ones cos I so want to feel that I’m going to be back on those paths very soon!

We had a splendid time with everything Mickledore arranged for us and I won’t stop recommending Mickledore to whomever hears me relate about my holiday. We found the website very pleasant and informative which was the reason we chose Mickledore in the first place. We were very happy with the trouble-free transport and luggage and the useful list of telephone numbers and the instructions provided.

We had a great time thanks, and were very lucky with the weather I think! The pack you sent us was spot on and the information within very good. The guidebook included is now well dog eared!!! Overall we would rate our holiday somewhere between excellent and fantastic (despite the blisters!) and are already thinking about what we can do in future – we have already recommended your company to a friend.

Had a wonderful experience walking the full length of the Hadrian’s Wall Path. Being home for just three days we are now fully recognising what an achievement it was. Mickledore’s attention to detail and organisation was first class as was our B&B accommodation. Having our luggage tranferred from place to place made our adventure all that more pleasurable. We would certainly use Mickledore again but we think that the level of the B and B’s was sometimes too high!

Hi Mickledore. Our trip from Corbridge to Carlisle was a total success, wonderful weather & different people met along the way. All the accomadation was very good – it was one of the most enjoyable weeks we have spent on holiday.

Dear Mickledore team We had a very,very good time in good old England. It was the first time that we did a holiday walking and we liked it. But especially your good service and the excellent B and B,s made this holiday unique. The nice thing about the sleeping places was that they were all perfect but so different. It was always a surprise where to sleep that night. Next year we will certainly book another walking holiday and certainly with Mickledore. Thank you.

Well here we are, back in Oz and I want to give you some feedback re the trip. First of all, an enormous “Thank You” to everyone at Mickledore – you did a fantastic job for us and we were very, very happy with the arrangements made for us. Although we did have rain 6 out of 8 days we loved every minute of the walk and were so proud of ourselves for completing it. The scenery despite the rain was magnificent and the path generally excellent. The middle section was the most exciting although we enjoyed each day and found the Solway end such a contrast to the moors and hills in the middle section. Every day there was something new to enjoy. Your country is truly beautiful and a walkers’ paradise. How excited we were to go through that final arch and know we’d done it. A fellow walker took our group photo and said we were a crazy lot to come so far to walk – needless to say we didn’t agree with him. We understand that such a large group of ladies (9) presented some logistical issues for you and we really appreciate all your efforts. We will certainly contact you again should we be able to walk in the UK again.

We had a wonderful vacation walking The Hadrian’s Wall Path. We are very pleased to inform you that everything including all lodges, luggage-transport, packed lunch was much better and of a higher standard that we had expected. All people we met behaved kindly and service-minded and all dinner meals were very good food and the wine and beer of the best quality. And we soon realized food and beverage had prices under 50% of Norwegian prices. So totally we are very satisfied and nothing negative to report, we will just thank you for planning this walk for us. 5 of us walked the Hadrian’s Wall Path from Wallsend to Wallsend (135 km) and 1 person had to take bus the last 26 km to Bowness-on- Solay because of a bad knee. The weather condition and temperature were also perfect this time for walking the Wall. This vacation gave a good memory for a lifetime and we will recommend your company if somebody we meet want to take this walk.
