Well here we are, back in Oz and I want to give you some feedback re the trip. First of all, an enormous “Thank You” to everyone at Mickledore – you did a fantastic job for us and we were very, very happy with the arrangements made for us. Although we did have rain 6 out of 8 days we loved every minute of the walk and were so proud of ourselves for completing it. The scenery despite the rain was magnificent and the path generally excellent. The middle section was the most exciting although we enjoyed each day and found the Solway end such a contrast to the moors and hills in the middle section. Every day there was something new to enjoy. Your country is truly beautiful and a walkers’ paradise. How excited we were to go through that final arch and know we’d done it. A fellow walker took our group photo and said we were a crazy lot to come so far to walk – needless to say we didn’t agree with him. We understand that such a large group of ladies (9) presented some logistical issues for you and we really appreciate all your efforts. We will certainly contact you again should we be able to walk in the UK again.

We had a wonderful vacation walking The Hadrian’s Wall Path. We are very pleased to inform you that everything including all lodges, luggage-transport, packed lunch was much better and of a higher standard that we had expected. All people we met behaved kindly and service-minded and all dinner meals were very good food and the wine and beer of the best quality. And we soon realized food and beverage had prices under 50% of Norwegian prices. So totally we are very satisfied and nothing negative to report, we will just thank you for planning this walk for us. 5 of us walked the Hadrian’s Wall Path from Wallsend to Wallsend (135 km) and 1 person had to take bus the last 26 km to Bowness-on- Solay because of a bad knee. The weather condition and temperature were also perfect this time for walking the Wall. This vacation gave a good memory for a lifetime and we will recommend your company if somebody we meet want to take this walk.

You run a tight ship. This is my second tour with Mickledore and I enjoyed both of them immensely. You did better with the weather last year but I guess there is a limit.

It was a great walk through a wonderful landscape and I enjoy my Walk and staying in the booked BnB’s and Hotels. It was all perfect. The Informations from you was very helpful (shops on the way etc.). The BnB’s and Hotels are very good, the people friendly. Thank you also for the Harvey Map and Cicerone-Book. With both of them, the walk was easy to find. I enjoy this holiday and will recommend your Company. Thank you for a successful holiday

From the start to the end you have understood what we were looking for and delivered it. All places we visited and stayed at were of a very good standard.

We would like to thank you all for a truly memorable experience and for all your help both before and during the trip. Our 17 day walking schedule was ideal for our age group and fitness. Our longest day (Patterdale to Shap) was done in conditions ideal for walking – we were lucky! We will have a good rest and if we are walking in the UK again will not hesitate to contact you.

For one week we feel us as a Empire!
We walk the Harianus Wall as ‘n Empire this was supper, thanks to Mickledore travel. We ran down the Hadrian Wall, and came in the most beautiful B&B’s. With care Mickledore found greet beautiful Bed and Breakfast, and in some they cooked especially for us the diner at high level. Every morning a breakfast as ‘n empire and lunch packed well made. We left to our next destination. Our luggage was sent through the next B&B, there for we had no looking after. We enjoyed the views, flowers and plants, the diversion of sheep breeds, and cattle on the route. Mickledore cannot guarantee for a good forecast, but we had a super week with only two days of rain, it was greet !. This was our first walking holiday, but after this experience, we look forward to next year program from Mickledore. We recommend everyone who love nature and history to do this walk!

We had a great time and we already look forward to the next trip in maybe 2 or 3 years. Every thing went on perfect and the B&B that we stayed in were all very nice. We met great people and had good food. The landscape was beautiful and the view was fantastic.

We just returned to London from Kirkby Stephen after a spectacular 83 miles on the C2C trail. All your arrangements for us were excellent. Each of the accommodations was perfect and gave us just what we needed (usually a cuppa and a hot shower). Our bag was always there to greet us. We even give you credit for the amazing weather – no more than an occasional short period of “highland mist”. Thank you for your attention to all the details and for making the past week so pleasant and memorable.
