We had a great time thanks, and were very lucky with the weather I think! The pack you sent us was spot on and the information within very good. The guidebook included is now well dog eared!!! Overall we would rate our holiday somewhere between excellent and fantastic (despite the blisters!) and are already thinking about what we can do in future – we have already recommended your company to a friend.

Would you use Mickledore again? Yes everything worked, we were very pleased with all the arrangements and loved to have our luggage transported!

We really enjoyed our Westmorland Way holiday and are recommending it warmly to others- prepare for a Danish invasion!

We will almost certainly look at another holiday like this again next year. We have done ‘The Wall’, the Coastal Path and think there are one or two more waiting for us. Your service is first class and we wouldn’t want to go with anyone else.

Never having hiked for six days in a row, and never having been in the Lake District before, we didn’t quite know what to expect. Despite occasional blisters we came through our experience with an appreciation for the Lake District and the people who live there that only trekking the long miles is likely to provide. In addition, staying in B and B’s was a great way to lighten (literally) our load along the way, and the excellent work of Mickledore in arranging our lodgings made our trip preparations much less demanding. They were extremely responsive to all questions we asked via emails in the months leading up to our walking holiday. We would not hesitate to use their services again and we are looking forward to completing our Coast to Coast walk as soon as possible.

We want to thank you for the perfect organization of our walk on the Cotswold Way. A lovely region with various landscapes. The scenery reflects the calm, peaceful and gentle countryside. Wonderful towns with hospitable people. Every evening it was a surprise to discover the lovely places you had selected to rest our tired legs.

I really enjoyed the walk – the scenery was very varied, the B&B’s were all good or excellent, some good places to eat and Taxi pick up on Holy Island was bang on time. I walked it over 4 days back packing – probably better to take 5/6 days as most people I met were doing. I was very happy with the holiday and look forward to my group walking the Cumbria Way with you at the end of September.

We would certainly use Mickledore again but we think that the level of the B and B’s was sometimes too high!

We were very pleased with your accommodation choices, and delighted that the luggage transfer arrangements worked seamlessly. The whole trip was wonderful – due in no small measure to your involvement. We walked for 16 days (with 2 rest days) – not a single problem the whole trip. A memorable experience for all the right reasons.

This has been a fantastic holiday and extermely well organised by Mickledore from all perspectives. Leaving you to arrange the accommodation, luggage drop offs and access took all the hassle out of booking the holiday ourselves, particularly as we came across many stranded walkers who had great difficulties at the pinch points in villages where rooms and eating places are few. Well done.
