My father and I have just completed Hadrian’s Wall and the Coastal walk of the Cleveland Way and what an enjoyable time was had. The accommodation at all stops was exceptional as were the hosts who were most accommodating to our needs. We never went hungry at breakfast or in the packaged lunches for the walks. They advised us of suitable venues for evening meals depending on our needs and we can honestly say we couldn’t fault any of them. We were fortunate that the weather was good, there were a couple of days where it tried to rain and one day towards the end of Hadrian’s Wall Walk where we were walking in the rain for about 1 hour – but that didn’t dampen our spirits.

The correspondence and efforts of the Mickeldore Staff should not go unrecognised. From the moment that I placed the enquiry they provided the necessary details and once initial payment was made, they advised within 48 hours that the accommodations had been booked. Any query I had was responded to within a very short period of time. Needless to say I’m currently working on what to do next year and should I choose to do more walking will be using Mickeldore and recommending to friends.

We just got back from our vacation yesterday. I can’t tell you how many times my wife, other walkers, and I commented on how much we appreciated the wonderful job you did arranging our tours. The attention to detail concerning our reservations at the various B & Bs and hotels was outstanding. Our bags were always ready and waiting when we reached the destination of the day. I booked this trip late, at a very busy time, with very specific dates. No other company could provide it, and one company referred me to Mickledore. I was most impressed that you could provide the trip, and even though I booked late, I was most impressed with the standard of accommodation. We had a spectacular time hiking the West Highland Way, and all of the details of the trip were executed flawlessly! The accommodations were neat, clean, and entirely satisfactory, the hosts friendly and welcoming, food plentiful, and the luggage transport went without a glitch. While most of my communications with Mickledore were by email, I also telephoned twice and got an immediate response each time, which was reassuring. When I quizzed several of the B&B owners about their opinion of Mickledore versus other similar travel companies, they all said Mickledore was excellent, had great follow-up with them including re-confirming guests’ reservations in advance of their visit, and was superior to the competition in their attention to details. Thank you, Mickledore! We will definitely use your agency again and several friends will be doing so, too

The organisation from start to finish was excellent, with smooth luggage transfers, mostly very high standard B&Bs, good food recommendations and the excellent map and guidebook you provided meant we didn’t get lost, A brilliant first experience.

The accommodation provided was first class and each just slightly differently but equally memorable. The info pack provided met our needs precisely and the onwards transfer of luggage was carried out efficiently everyday so we did not have to wait for our bags.

Excellent, Everything thought through to the finest detail- even the luggage labels!

We completed our holiday and enjoyed “the Cleveland Way” verry much.
We had 9 walking days, but stayed an extra day in Saltburn and Robin Hood’s Bay. Both verry diffrend but nice places to stay for a day.
The B&B’s were al verry good, verry diffrend from each other witch makes it more fun !
Al the bookings went right, every day our suitecases were on the right adres, so only THUMBS UP for Mickledore.
We also had good walking weather, there was just one windy and a bit rainy day, but as we always say; you can alsways walk, just take te right clothes with you !
