Walking Hadrian’s Wall was as beautiful and as relaxing as I could hope for. Great to have everything arranged and working out fine without having to worry about a place to eat or sleep. Routes are clear and overnight stays are all welcoming and comfortable with hearty breakfasts. The only downside: it always ends too soon!!

All overnight stays are comfortable and welcoming, nice people, delicious breakfasts. After a long day of walking all you wish for is a good bed in a nice room with a warm shower. I found that every single night and most of the time a lot more than that, like nice company, a beautiful view from my bedroom etc.

We booked our John Muir Way Hiking Holiday at Mickledore and from the beginning everything was very well organized. Communication was easy and the documents arrived on time but where available earlier in the Mickledore App before they arrived by Postal Mail. Mickledore booked good B&Bs , Inns and Hotel so we had nice stay. Also luggage Transport went quite well (luggage was there when we arrive and in some cases we meet the Driver for the luggage Transport). Also the Taxi Transfer was well organized and went quite will. Taxi Driver was so kind and provided us a sightseeing tour in the town and showed to us the best restaurants (these weere also in the list from Mickledore).
The John Muir Way was as described. First two hiking days and the last two days are the bests days. The three days on the Canal was not so good and includes lot of Tarmac with is not so good for hikers.

This was our Holiday Number four with Mickledore and every Holiday way organized well and also the tips regarding local facilities like restaurants was very well. Maps and guide books are really good. For Hiking trips in the UK i only recommend Mickledore to anybody who asked about hiking in UK

I was having a wonderful hiking holiday when half way through I was struck down with a knee injury (not while hiking). Mickledore sorted everything for me. As I was on my own, a foreigner, staff phoned everyday checking on me and having a chat (she became my best buddy for a few days).

Mickledore arrange hiking holidays. I found the accommodation ranged from standard to luxurious, especially with the B&Bs. We are provided with a water proof, tear proof map and one month free with OS maps offline. Mickledore have plotted the walk on OS maps, anytime I wasn’t sure where to go all I had to do was look at OS maps and follow the blue line. For someone with a poor sense of direction, this was so good and made me feel safe.
