As we approach the end of 2020, the pandemic continues to have a significant impact on all of our lives. With restrictions in the UK and overseas being imposed and lifted regularly, it has been an incredibly difficult year for travel with comparatively few people being able to enjoy a holiday this year.
Our priority continues to be ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all our customers, staff and partners, so our shop and office in Keswick remain closed for the time being. However, we are here to speak to you about your future travel plans by phone and email and would be delighted to hear from you.

Feeling Positive for 2021

We are optimistic about holidays in 2021,having successfully run a number of our 2020 holidays in late summer and early autumn. With news emerging of successful COVID vaccination trials, as well as mass rapid-testing being rolled out, we hope to be able to run as many holidays as possible in 2021. During these uncertain times, we pledge to be even more flexible and to give you greater comfort to go ahead and book that long-awaited holiday in the knowledge that we are here to support you at every stage of the journey. As many customers have already rebooked their 2020 holidays for 2021 we recommend booking as soon as you can to get your preferred dates. Please do get in touch to talk about your plans.

FAQs

What happens if you cannot run my holiday due to Coronavirus??
We will continue to monitor the situation right up until you are due to travel. If we cannot operate your holiday due to COVID19, we will offer to postpone your booking to a later date, provide you with a credit voucher or give you a full refund. For our clients who are not UK nationals, note that we act on the travel advice provided by the UK government. If the advice of your own government is different to that of the UK, and you are advised not to travel to your holiday destination, please contact us to discuss your options.

Can I delay payment for my holiday?
We would only ask you to pay a final balance for a holiday if and when we were confident it could operate safely, and in compliance with UK government travel advice and any local requirements and restrictions.

What if I have underlying health issues and am concerned about travelling to a destination close to an area with confirmed cases of Coronavirus?
We recommend that you discuss your travel plans with your doctor. If, in their opinion, you should not travel, you should ask for a letter confirming this and contact your travel insurance. Depending on the type of travel insurance you have, you may be covered for cancellation of your holiday on medical grounds.

Is my money protected?
Your money is fully protected. Mickledore is fully bonded with ABTA to offer you full financial protection. Whilst we are a relatively small company, we are lucky to be part of a much larger, financially sound organisation (Voyageurs du Monde). This gives us great financial stability and support during tougher times.
