Great Weather and Lots of History for our Cotswold Way Trip

Vicki & I had a lovely few days last week down on the Cotswold Way visiting all our existing accommodations, and ferreting out a few new ones for 2015.

I had forgotten what a beautiful part of the world the Cotswolds are. We hade great views from the ridge, over the Severn Estuary in Southern section, and to the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, and Malvern Hills as we worked northwards.

What struck me was just how much history there is on offer – from the ancient hill forts, and megalithic barrows, mediaeval castles, and towns and villages where most of the buildings in the centre are hundreds of years old. Some of our accommodation have their own interesting past – we viewed some the beams from Hailes Abbey, liberated after the Dissolution Act of 1536 and now very much part of the Old Post House in Stanton.

Thank You! This was our first experience of using a Walking Holiday Specialist and we feel extremely positive about doing so again. Information had been well researched, choice of accommodation very good, all was clearly presented and we were well supported.
